About the role

A Vacancy has arisen for a Supply Planner within the Purchasing Team. This role is an exciting opportunity to work within the Wellocks supply chain! You will be responsible for accurate stock management planning and forecasting for your range, managing optimum stock levels, to ensure availability and profit targets are delivered. Working closely with the senior buyers, you will analyse range performance, launch new products, and deliver long term improvements in availability and waste.

What you will do:

Forecasting and Inventory Planning:

• Proactively driving sales and availability through effective forecasting and inventory planning, raising daily purchase orders with suppliers
• Responsible for managing and maintaining accuracy of all product and supplier data in Wellocks system
• Work with logistics team to plan optimum supplier deliveries and collections across UK and Europe with responsibility for cost management of supplier deliveries
• Work with the wider team to ensure smooth seasonal product transitions and event planning e.g. Christmas

Waste:

• Accountable for availability and waste in your category area
• Implement best practice for optimising product life with suppliers

Stakeholder Management:

• Effective communication and relationship building with operational, I.T and sales teams to ensure optimum stock management at every stage of the supply chain
• Build and maintain supplier relationships ensuring delivery accuracy, on time and in full, with regular supplier service reviews

What you will need:

• Passion for food and produce
• Analytical and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel
• Owner mentality with demonstrated experience of continuous improvement and implementing process change
• Strong stakeholder management skills and excellent communication
• Proactive with the ability to drive own development and the team around them
• Supply chain experience desirable
