Job Title: Senior Business Manager Location: Hull About Jacksons Jacksons is part of William Jackson Food Group, a sixth-generation family business founded by William Jackson when he opened his first shop in Hull in September 1851. Today we have a portfolio of five food businesses in distinct, yet complimentary market areas, employing over 2,000 people. We have occupied the current site in Hull since 1907 and we now have 3 bread plants in our main bakery. We recently developed a second bakery, also at our site in Hull, which specialises in premium quality roll production. We specialise in the supply of bread and other carriers to the sandwich manufacturers, foodservice and export channels, and in 2012 we launched our consumer facing brand “Jackson’s of Yorkshire”. What’s involved? As a Senior Business Manager you will develop and nurture relationships with key customers to support delivery of business targets. Creating and delivery of the Commercial Strategy for the channel. Build strong, collaborative relationships with key strategic customers including sharing market knowledge, insight on key market trends, risks and opportunities, whilst continuing to build Jackson’s reputation of excellence.
Key Areas of Responsibility: · Manage the business interface between Jacksons & our customers via Category & Buying relationships. · Take accountability for the management of matters related to the selling, negotiating, forecasting, finance, & administration activities of your customer base. · The formulation & implementation of an annual Customer Account Plan/s clearly detailing specific objectives, strategies & tactics to achieve business targets in Volume, Sales Value, D.C, customer needs & company budgets. · Work with the relevant functions (both internal and external) to identify opportunities and threats within the marketplace, developing appropriate plans to protect and enhance brand performance. · Develop commercial proposals and negotiate accordingly. · Identify and pursue new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing relationships with key clients and partners. · Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic planning and decision-making. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and customer satisfaction. · Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to the Commercial Director. · Oversee contract negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. · Manage budgets, set sales targets. · Identifies risk and communicates this to the business · Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimise sales processes and outcomes. · Any other ad hoc tasks as reasonably requested by your line manager.
Job Commitments Hull – Derringham Street, HU3 1EW Full-time, Permanent Monday – Friday – 37.5 hours per week
