About the role

Working at part of a great team and reporting into the Technical Manager, this role requires review and maintenance of the current Quality Management System (QMS) and all accompanying due diligence systems. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to take on a key role in Technical to further their career.

What you will do:

Review & Maintenance of the Quality Management System:

  • Manage the QMS System and work alongside the Supplier Approval and Specification Leader
  • Ensure all paperwork is current and the correct versions are issued to each department.
  • Be the main stakeholder for the site allergen management program (AMP).
  • Maintenance and manage adherence of the internal label systems regarding allergen and traceability information.
  • Champion a Food Safety Culture by place an active role in site training.
  • Manage Sedex tracking and authenticate system.

Auditing:

  • Completion of internal audits to schedule.
  • Conduct monthly traceability audits and assist with any site product recalls or withdrawals.
  • Manage the site calibration of equipment, ensuring all equipment has a valid calibration certificate.

Reporting:

  • Continually improve site trend analysis on business KPIs.
  • Track, trend and report on supplier performance and investigate non-conformance with the Purchasing team.
  • Investigate customer complaints, effectively communicating with all key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all key information is completed regarding site, process and procedure information to all customers on 2nd or 3rd party audits.

What you will need:

  • Current experience within the food industry, particularly regarding quality assurance.
  • Internal Audit Qualification.
  • Knowledge of HACCP.
  • Ability to translate BRC requirements and put into practice throughout the QMS.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Train the Trainer or similar qualification would be beneficial.
  • IT skills in particular Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects whilst delivering results against tight deadlines.
