NPD Technologist, working as part of a small NPD team, you will help to develop and create new and existing product development, whilst ensuring food safety, legality, authenticity and quality and following company policies and BRC standards.

NPD Technologist key responsibilities

You will project manage the NPD briefs for in house manufactured products from concept or approved kitchen recipe all the way through to launch, having responsibility for recipe development for submission to taste panels for approval. You will ensure that all recipes are costed corrected and evaluate and approve new ingredients and packaging.  You will liaise, help and support the wider technical, innovation and QA teams and ensure that our food safety, and socio-environmental values are upheld.

NPD Technologist Skills

Building on your recently gained Food Science degree you may have had a year in industry gaining valuable relevant experience.  You will understand high care environments along with pasteurisation and heating processes in a manufacturing environment. You will be great at organising your time as there can be a lot to get through some days.  Great attention to detail and excel skills will be needed in this role along with your ability to have great communication skills to influence and guide those around you to ensure we are following the correct procedures. You will have training on the job and will look at your own training pathway to ensure you are building on your degree knowledge.
