We have an exciting opportunity for a FLT Driver to join our Transport Team here at Wellocks based in Nelson.

About the role

Working closely with the Yard Managers and Warehouse team, as a FLT driver you will be responsible for the unloading and loading of external and internal vehicles with produce, waste packaging and food waste. Days based 8am - 5pm any five days from six Monday to Saturday. 


  • Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment at all times
  • Working with the yard team to ensure the smooth running across two yards
  • Moving stock between the main warehouse and off-site second warehouse
  • Movement of crates / pallets
  • Dealing with driver and yard queries
  • Directing the flow of yard traffic
  • Moving the 3.5 ton vans as required
  • Possible occasional deliveries
  • Other tasks as required

Required skills and experience

  • Good Communication skills
  • FLT Licence
  • Driver Licence
  • Able to work 5 out of 6 days including Saturdays
  • Be flexible with start and finish times
  • Banksman trained – ideal but not essential as training will be provided
