Overview

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented National Account Executive to join our retail sales team. Reporting to a National Account Manager, you’ll support some of our top grocery customers (Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s), while also taking the lead on other retailers and wholesalers like Booths and Amazon. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a high-performing FMCG business, work across multiple categories, and contribute to the exciting growth of the Belazu brand.

If you’re passionate about food, love working with data, and want to build a career in retail sales - we’d love to hear from you.

About Belazu

This is a lovely opportunity to join a business with an impressive set of accreditations, from B Corp status to silver standard Investors in People and newly recognised in 2025 as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work. We are a diverse team with a shared set of professional goals and social values that drive a hugely satisfying working experience. Belazu has been a pioneer of supplying high quality, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Ingredients within the UK’s Foodservice for over 30 years. We are an innovative leader in our field, with an energetic and high performing working culture. We have ambitious plans to grow over the next 5 years and take great pride in the values that form the spine of our business.

What the day job looks like:

As National Account Executive, you will:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with smaller retail and wholesale customers.
  • Support admin, reporting and planning for major grocers (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose).
  • Recommend and implement promotional plans and trade marketing activities.
  • Track promotional compliance and customer performance.
  • Build compelling category stories to grow SKU listings and distribution.
  • Monitor business performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide accurate forecasts to help Supply Chain plan with confidence.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Planning and Production to meet customer needs.
  • Get involved in everything from sales visits to customer reporting to internal coordination-no two days are the same.

This role will suit you if:

  • You’ve got some experience in FMCG, retail, or a commercial sales/marketing environment.
  • You’re confident using Excel and love working with numbers and data.
  • You’re proactive, organised, and take ownership of your work.
  • You’re a great communicator and enjoy working cross-functionally.
  • You love food and want to work in a brand that values quality and sustainability.
  • You’re looking to grow your commercial career with hands-on exposure to top UK retailers.

This role may not be for you if:

  • You don’t enjoy multitasking or managing multiple priorities at once.
  • You prefer a desk-only role with minimal customer-facing interaction.
  • You’re not confident working with Excel, forecasts, or sales reporting.
  • You’re not excited about working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What’s in it for you?

  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays
  • Auto-Enrolment Pension
  • Life assurance
  • Discretionary Bonus Scheme (30% KPI-based)
  • Long service awards
  • Free parking on site
  • Up to 40% discount on company products
  • Access to Enjoy Benefits portal
  • The best canteen you’ll ever eat at

Terms
